The Astros acquired infielder Isaac Paredes through the Kyle Tucker trade and he immediately began airing his first home run for the team on April 11.

One day after his promotion Logan VanWey started his MLB career by pitching in a game on April 11. In his first outings his ERA has stood at 3.00. 

Ben Gamel re-signed with the Astros in February only to get released before the start of the season for signing a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers.
